Roadway Design and Utility Improvements

ACES has extensive experience putting together complete sets of construction documents and plans involving the design and drafting of roadways and associate utilities located within the various sites. Some of our project experience includes:

FM 3083 Waterline Upgrade

Design of approximately 4,400 linear feet of 20 potable water line extending in the right of ways of FM 3083 and the Mike Meador Parkway. The project included plan and profiles of the entire waterline paralleling FM 3083 and associated details.

Lone Star Parkway Waterline

New construction of a 12" water main extending from the intersection of SH 149 and extending along the Lone Star Parkway to a new community center being constructed by Montgomery County. The project included complete plan and profile views of the proposed water main and associated details.

San Jacinto River Authority Aquatex Road Relocation

Relocation of an existing sanitary sewer line and the construction of a temporary access road to the site for a proposed water treatment facility. The project sets include a plan and profile of the proposed roadway and sanitary sewer line and drainage modifications required to ensure no disruption of current storm flows will occur.

Conroe Park North Sections 4,5,6 & 7 (Conroe Industrial Development Corporation)

Sections 4 & 5 - New development of a 200 acre industrial park that included the extension of 12 water mains throughout park that tie-in and receive supply from Conroe Water Plant No. 20.

Section 6 - New Development of a 375 acre Industrial park which included the extension of 12 water mains throughout the industrial park that crossed and paralleled existing pipeline and a power transmission route. Design was successfully completed within a short time frame, during wet winter months, to allow for platting and sale of property to a new customer within the park.

Section 7 - New development of the 80 acres on each side of Meador Parkway (New FM 1484) including a 12" water main to connect the existing water mains on Loop 336 and FM 3083 along the existing roadway. Design included four detention ponds, 2 concrete cul-de-sacs, re-routing of existing sanitary sewer, and the re-routing of an existing creek that crosses through the site. Construction of the roadway was already underway resulting in extensive coordination efforts between the Texas Department of Transportation, Montgomery County, the City of Conroe, and CIDC. The drainage plan for the project was altered to maintain conformity with the County's plans. The design portion of the project is complete, but construction is currently on hold due to environmental constraints and concerns.

Conroe Park North Drive Widening

ACES designed approximately 3,100 linear feet of roadway which included widening an existing two lane open ditch roadway section to a four lane open ditch roadway section to accommodate the additional high volume of traffic expected from the Lone Star College that opened in the Spring of 2011. Existing utilities were relocated for the expansion of the roadway. The design and construction is under a very tight time line but phase I was completed on schedule. Phase II was recently completed on schedule, as well.
